Yann Roberts from The White House in Clapham has been chatting about his love of the Golden Jubilee and his upcoming Bank Holiday Boat Party this Sunday...

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Yann Roberts and I am a Director at the White House in Clapham, a bar/nightclub. I also run a few club promotions including EGOSHEGO.

How did you get involved in this industry?

I have been running clubs for ten years now including Pacha London and the Cross.

Who are your main musical influences?

My EGOSHEGO parties are sexy house music and I like uplifting soulful dance music, mainly US house from the likes of Masters at Work.

How long have you been having boat parties?

I have been doing parties aboard the Golden Jubilee for 4 years now.

How many do you generally have per year?

Usually 1 but this year I am doing 2.

Which of our boats do you use and why?

My favourite is the Golden Jubilee, I think it has the best space.

Why do you like partying on the River Thames?

I love it. My boat parties are always daytime and the Thames and riverbank provides the most amazing backdrop for a party.

What is the music style of the parties?

House music.

What type of crowd do you normally get?

25 – 35 a good mix of men to women.

Apart from the Thames, what is your favourite place to party?

The White House obviously, or the Cross.

What is your favourite London spot?

The Gherkin or Battersea Park.

What is your most memorable boat party experience?

All of them have been memorable.

What are the details of your next party with Capital Pleasure Boats?

It's this Sunday the 27th August (Bank Holiday), 1- 6 pm and tickets are £20.

How do we purchase tickets?

From the White House 020 7498 3388.
