Golden Star

Capital Pleasure Boat’s smallest vessel, Golden Star, holds up to 120 of your guests in style and comfort. Offering panoramic views of the surrounding sights and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere she is the perfect vessel for the more intimate event.

With fixed booth seating around the perimeter of the saloon, Golden Star can comfortably hold up to 60 guests for a 3 course meal or carvery. Alternatively if buffet style catering is preferred more guests can be catered for.

The dance floor in the centre of the vessel is the perfect focus for after dinner entertainment, whilst for those guests wishing to take a breath of fresh air the sundeck at the rear of the vessel has 25 seats, or standing room for up to 50 guests.

Golden Flame

Golden Flame is the perfect boat to enjoy family celebrations for up to 240 guests. Inside there are 2 spacious saloons with fixed bench seating and fully stocked bars, as well as space for a DJ, band, fun casino or other entertainment. Her full service galley allows for catering of all kinds, from a light buffet to a la carte dining.

Uniquely among our boats the lower saloon can be shut for smaller more intimate events, preventing your guests from spreading out too much and keeping the party atmosphere alive, or to enable food to be set out or cleared away in the lower saloon. Guests can still comfortably fit on the upper deck where they can mingle in the spacious upper saloon or take in the sights from the open sundeck at the rear of the vessel.

Golden Jubilee

Our flagship Golden Jubilee boasts two decks, she also has two bars, a full service galley, self enclosed DJ box, spacious dance floor and a large sun deck able to hold up to 150 guests for those memorable photos of your perfect day.

She is extremely versatile and decorated to a high standard throughout. We encourage catering in the lower saloon thereby leaving the upper deck clear for your guests to relax and enjoy a disco, live band or fun casino after the more formal part of the day is over. The large sundeck to the rear is the perfect setting to enjoy reception drinks on arrival and champagne toasts during the proceedings.

Products and Services

Our in-house caterers, Cullender Eagle and Mainstream Catering, can provide classy canapés, a simple buffet, a delicious carvery or a more lavish Silver Service meal for your guests. Alternatively you can bring on your own catering for a small surcharge.

We can arrange entertainment to suit all types of functions; the ever popular disco can be supplemented with a band or something more flamboyant such as close up magicians, caricaturists or fun casino. Please ask for details of all our entertainment possibilities.

For a meet and greet with a touch of class Doggett’s Coat and Badge men can be arranged. Winners of the oldest single scull race on the Thames (as well as being the oldest race in history), Doggett’s Boys in their distinctive red livery will greet your guests as they board, and can even form a guard of honour for the bride and groom to make a spectacular entrance through.

Should you not already have a photographer organised Capital Pleasure Boats can highly recommend Fergus Noone. A Greenwich local, Fergus has many years experience photographing both weddings and the river, and Golden Jubilee in particular.

Whichever vessel you choose you can be assured of the same commitment to detail and personal service that characterises everything we do at Capital Pleasure Boats.

Other decorating possibilities include helium balloons and rope lighting. Please see our "Decorations" list for full details.
